Structure on June 24 Sets Next Year's Fruit
Master Cho Han-kyu, interpreted by Kim Chang, Founder of Korean Natural Farming (Janong)
Spoken in Korean. Translated to English and checked line by line.
Cho cuts open a dry tangerine from breakfast and explains why it failed: fruit that bears once a year is conceived the summer before, between June 30 and July 5, so water-soluble calcium phosphate (Structure) goes on June 24 with Medicine (OHN). He writes the dates on the flip chart, then turns to the breakfast papaya, nitrogen and taste, and a long parable of mother's milk against cow's milk.
What they found
Why is this year's fruit dry and tasteless, and when do you have to act to fix next year's?
First hour of Friday. Cho holds up and cuts a tangerine served at breakfast; the room tasted it. He writes 6月24 → 6月30 → 7月5일 on the flip chart (about 905 s). The interpreter's microphone fails from about 690 to 830 s. Later he asks about the breakfast papaya, then tells the mother's-milk parable.
- Changeover feeding for fruit that bears once a year (starts June 24) — Cho's Korean: water-soluble calcium phosphate, Structure (WCP), from June 24 of the year before the harvest, a week before June 30, with Medicine (OHN) added so it is absorbed fast. Use the water-soluble form, not solid calcium phosphate. No dilutions spoken here; the interpreter said the full prescription would be handed out. Handout (영양주기에 따른 자연농업 처방, changeover column 교대기): Cleanser (brown rice vinegar) 1:500; Food (FPJ: acacia flower, 동자액, fruit) 1:500; Medicine (OHN) 1:1,000; Fuel (fish amino acid) 1:1,500–2,000; Structure (WCP, 인산칼슘) 1:1,000; Reproduction (WCA, 수용성칼슘) 1:1,000; Protectors (LAB) 1:1,500–2,000; Mineral D 1:1,000. The handout lists WCP and OHN in this column, matching what Cho said.
-
This spring's flowers formed as buds last year, end of June to early July
Cho: the flowers that bloom in spring didn't form in spring. What you fed then decides this year's fruit.
▶ 0:58 As spoken
-
Fruit that bears once a year must be conceived the year before, end of June to early July
Cho made the interpreter repeat it when the room didn't react.
▶ 1:28 As spoken
-
The breakfast tangerine formed no proper flower bud last June–July, or the flower 'miscarried'
Skin, but little inside. Cho compares it to a mother with bad morning sickness: mother suffers, baby suffers.
-
Juice sacs are made at conception: short of nutrients then, few small sacs and little juice
In a good tangerine the sacs sparkle; in this one they are dull, colorless and wrinkled, and it chews like cotton.
-
Plump fruit is conceived June 30 to July 5; that is when you hit the 'home run'
Missing it is an 'error' or a 'foul ball'. Cho: 'all year long you've been farming a crop that misses.'
▶ 7:23 As spoken
-
Give the changeover treatment on June 24, a week before June 30
Water-soluble calcium phosphate (Structure) then multiplies the rooms that hold the juice.
▶ 11:08 As spoken
-
Add Medicine (OHN) with the WCP to speed absorption
Cho: 'you have to speed up circulation so absorption is fast; to speed it up, OHN.'
▶ 10:09 As spoken
-
June 24 is early pregnancy; feeding after that is an 'error'
Flip chart: 6月24 → 6月30 → 7月5일. Start WCP June 24; conception falls between June 30 and July 5.
-
Use water-soluble calcium phosphate, not solid, so it is absorbed fast
▶ 17:26 As spoken
-
The June 24 date is for fruit that sets once a year; papaya and other repeat bearers follow their own cycle
Their formula was promised for the afternoon handout.
▶ 17:54 As spoken
-
Fed at the right time, the fruit holds more juice and more sugar
▶ 19:00 As spoken
-
People, livestock and crops differ in kind but go through the same process of reproducing
So the same nutritive cycle applies.
▶ 22:07 As spoken
-
Left to its seasons, a tree bears fruit; greedy feeding blocks it
Told through the fig tree Jesus cursed (Mark). Cho: people piled on fertilizer and blocked the grace.
▶ 24:46 As spoken
-
Lots of nitrogen: no taste. A little nitrogen plus calcium phosphate: very good taste
The breakfast papaya had not been fertilized and was a little short of nitrogen.
▶ 28:24 As spoken
-
Young crops need a little nitrogen in their basic growth so their bodies get big
Like a newborn growing fast on the protein in mother's milk. Cho said 'a little'; the room heard 'extra'.
▶ 29:08 As spoken
-
Scholars judged milk by nutritional value alone and left out love
Cho's frame for farming by analysis only; milk-factory baby contests judged babies only by weight.
▶ 31:41 As spoken
- The tangerine and papaya are single fruits from breakfast; nothing was measured.
- No dilutions were spoken on this page; the rates above come from the printed prescription handed out later in the session.
- The peach sheet handed out later in the session dates its changeover treatment (교대기 처리) June 20, not June 24; Cho's June 24 here is for once-a-year fruit like this tangerine.
- The interpreter's microphone failed from about 690 to 830 s, and several of Cho's Korean lines are partly unclear (marked in the transcript), including the sour-craving analogy.
- Cho also uses stretch marks in pregnancy and babies raised on cow's milk to make his points; these are claims about people, not tested, and we don't repeat them as advice.
- For fruit that bears once a year, next year's crop is set at the end of June and early July of this year. Mark the dates.
- Start Structure (WCP) about a week before conception, around June 24 in Cho's telling, with Medicine (OHN) to assist uptake.
- Use the water-soluble form of calcium phosphate so the plant can take it up quickly.
- Keep nitrogen light near fruiting; a little nitrogen plus calcium phosphate assists flavor.
- Young crops can use a little nitrogen early in their growth.
- Papaya and other repeat bearers follow their own cycle, not the June 24 date.

English translation, checked against the Korean as spoken.
0:00 Did you eat these fruits this morning? Yes. Was it tasty or not? Very tasty. Very tasty? One was. Oh, one. One was tasty, but one was not tasty. One was tasty, but one was disappointing. Something is wrong with your taste buds. Look at this skin, there's lots of space. This is not a tangerine, it's like cotton.
0:58 The tangerine flowers that bloomed this year — last year, the flower buds that formed from the end of June to early July are what bloom. So this year's crops, the plants that give you fruit — actually the nutrient that you gave last year between June and July, that affects how the quality of the fruit comes out. Fruit that sets once a year — almost all of it has to be conceived from the end of June of the previous year to early July for the fruit to come out right.
1:42 So the fruit that you are harvesting this year, actually their nutrient depends on the last year's June and through the July, what you give to the plant, and then that time, it depends on what you are giving to them. Their pregnancy is pregnancy of the stage on this year, which is fruiting. It will result. Yeah, result. Their result, yeah. Thank you.
2:31 Seeing there's no reaction, you explained it wrong. Do it again. Okay, I'm going to tell you again. The result of this year's fruit harvest just depends on what you are giving on last year's nutrients, June to July. June to July — from the end of June to early July, it has to be conceived then, so that when the fruit sets the following year... So the nutrients that end of June and beginning of July, those nutrients — what kind of nutrients you are giving to them — that result will show in this year's crop.
June to July.
3:23 The flowers that bloom in spring didn't form that spring. Those flowers formed last year, at the end of June and early July, and they bloom in spring. So this year, when they flowering, that nutrient is according to last year's, between end of June to beginning of July, nutrient. But this tangerine, this one, didn't form flower buds at the end of June and early July. But this fruit, last year between end of June and the beginning of July, the flower bud wasn't created yet.
4:14 Even the flower is bloom, actually there is a group of And even if a flower formed, instead of being born as a normal baby, it miscarries. the fruit is on, actually there is a miscarriage. So this tangerine has a skin, but there's nothing inside. That's why there is a skin, but inside the material is not good at all. It's just like a miscarriage. Inside here, the tangerine juice — when you eat it there should be lots of juice, but the pockets... There should be many pockets, but it was short of nutrients when it was conceived, so only very few of these pockets were made.
4:57 So in tangerine there is a little pocket that holds lots of juices. Because of lack of nutrients last year, summer, so they don't have enough pockets to hold the juice. And there is not much juice in there too. Inside this big pocket, small ones — it should make lots of small pockets, but they weren't made. So each piece of the tangerine, there's another pocket, small ones.
5:44 So because of the lack of the nutrients, they haven't developed many small pockets with the juices. So the pockets in here — compared with an ordinary papaya or mango: for lots of fruit to hang, lots of flowers have to open, right? But this one was short of nutrients at that time, so it couldn't make them. So when they're starting to fruiting, There is a lack of nutrients. That's why they don't have fully developed. And the lack of nutrients, that's the reason of that. If you compare this to a person, it had really bad morning sickness.
6:36 So compared to human beings, that tangerine has too much morning sickness. That's why it didn't grow well. If a person has really bad morning sickness, the baby isn't healthy. Because the mother suffers, the baby suffers too. So mom is suffering because baby is suffering at the same time.
7:22 To make it really plump and firm, it's June 30 or July 5, and at that point you have to hit it well, a home run, for it to fill out properly. If you mis-hit it, isn't that an error? This is an error. It's not a home run, I'm saying. Between end of June and beginning of July, you need to have a good nutrient, but they didn't give enough nutrient. When you hit the ball, it should be a home run, but it was an error. It became an error. This is an error, what else?
8:07 Foul ball. Yes, a foul ball. It missed. So all year long, you've been farming a crop that misses. So even you farmed, whole year you had many foul balls. June 24 ... June 24, June 24 — if you had given the changeover treatment then, it would have been very good. You farm knowing that time (unclear).
9:07 June 24th, you didn't give the changeover nutrients. That's why the fruit came out that way. There was a lot of changeover period, but there's a water-soluble calcium phosphate that helps the flowering. You didn't give that enough. That was a lot. Put another way: when a mother has morning sickness, isn't it sour food she craves? Crops, tangerines too — during morning sickness they crave the sour (unclear). So he is going to give you the recipe, but when they are morning sickness, if you don't So if you're going to give calcium phosphate at that time...
9:58 give enough of calcium phosphate, because of that, So that's the result. But at that time you have to speed up blood circulation so absorption is fast. To speed up circulation, [we add] OHN. Also, they need a good circulation, so we add oriental herb nutrient with that. Downstairs? Okay. And then that water down there. [The prescription] will be given again this afternoon (unclear). Okay. We are going to give you all this recipe.
10:43 So Drake is printing out that nutrient cycle [Have some water,] since you keep coughing. recipe, so we will give you that paper this afternoon. And then calcium phosphate — if you give calcium phosphate a week before June 30, on June 24, the 24th, the rooms that hold the juice multiply. So when you give water-soluble calcium phosphate, previous year, June 24th, and...
11:33 There's a little pocket. A week before? A week before, yes. There's something in the... Huh? You need this, yeah? We turned it off because the sound is horrible, make a noise. But you cannot hear? I can hear. You can hear? Wait, wait, I found it. Oh, just you. That's me? Oh, I need this. Yeah. Somebody turn on that thing. Yeah, somebody turn it off. My voice is small so I need a microphone. You didn't need one, Director.
12:25 Thank you. So, previous year, June 24th, you need to start giving water-soluble calcium phosphate, which is the flowering, that is, we call changeover period, nutrient. He's going to give you that recipe, but whole nutrient cycle recipe we are printing out and then give you this afternoon.
13:28 Yeah. Uh-uh. Doesn't work. Nobody. Uh-uh. Jason? Huh? Jason? Oh, no, we know. He is going to give you the recipe. Yes, this afternoon. He's my student, you know. I've sent it [to him] (unclear).
14:14 [It's coming out] soon (unclear). Tell them not to worry. Then around June 24 — that's early pregnancy, isn't it? Early pregnancy. That's when you have to give the nutrients, at the start of pregnancy, to hit the home run (unclear). If you give it after that, it's an error. So even before pregnancy, before even flowering, you need to prepare them to get pregnant, healthy pregnancy. That's why you need to give one week ahead, which is June 24th, give water-soluble calcium phosphate. So between June 30 and July 5, [conception] happens at this time (unclear).
15:04 So you have to feed it on June 24 (unclear). So, before pregnancy, you start one week before, you start giving the water-soluble calcium phosphate, and then one week later, between June 30 to July 5, they are starting to absorbing the nutrients. That's why you need to be prepared to help them to pregnant. So that's why you need to start giving those water-soluble calcium phosphate one week ahead.
15:52 And here, for juice, the small pockets — the small pockets have no shine, no color. This tangerine, in the small pocket where the juice is, the juice should be in there. The color is really really bad. When you were eating them and said, 'This is really good,' if you peeled one open and looked, didn't it sparkle? The healthy tangerine, the little pouch where the juice is residing, healthy one is shine, it sparkles. But this one is like old grandma's face.
16:41 So, yeah, that fruit, inside, supposed to be, looks like a young girl's face, skin, Inside, it should sparkle and shine, but this is all wrinkles, just wrinkles. but that one is just so many wrinkles. So there is hardly any liquid. So when you chew it, you are chewing like a cotton. So when you put in calcium phosphate at this time, it has to be absorbed fast. So not just solid calcium phosphate — you have to give water-soluble calcium phosphate so it's absorbed fast.
17:33 So at this time, we keep repeating this, you need to give calcium phosphate, but you need to give the water-soluble calcium phosphate so they can absorb better. So this is about fruit: fruit that sets once a year — around June 30, around June 24 of the previous year, you give the nutrients and that's the home run. Fruit that sets [more than] once a year (unclear) — those have their own separate timing. Only once a year. So in this case, he is only talking about the fruit tree only give you once a year. Yeah? That one, you need to start giving water-soluble calcium phosphate on June 24.
18:26 But there's some fruit trees like papaya or those, they flower and fruit, flower and fruit, you have to follow their cycle. So he's going to give that nutrient formula this afternoon also. So if you make it that way, there's a lot of juice in here. When you use right nutrient and right cycle, you have lots of juice in the fruit. Then when people eat it, with lots of juice in the mouth it tastes good, and the sugar is high, so it's very good. there's a lot of juice and also the sweetness increases.
19:15 So it tastes really good. One more thing — the mothers here who have been pregnant: when you're pregnant and reach full term, does this skin tear or not? A woman who had given birth, the mother, when ready to give birth, your skin breaks out. What happened? Oh, stretch... Oh, stretch, stretch mark. Yeah. So it grows, but also you will have a stretch mark.
20:04 The skin tearing — that's because it lacks elasticity. Because the reason that you're having a stretch mark, you don't have a flexibility in your skin. That's what I'm saying. Elasticity. Elasticity. They're getting crazy. The reason is your skin is not flexible, that's why your skin is having a stretch mark.
20:55 So what makes elasticity? Calcium phosphate makes elasticity. Yes, the flexibility of skin, that water-soluble calcium phosphate will make that. The people who had morning sickness all tear [get stretch marks].
21:45 Because they have a lack of those calcium phosphates. Because I'm a man, I don't know that well. So people, livestock and crops all have life force. They reproduce offspring. Even the human, livestock and crops, we are different, but the life cycle is all same, Because they reproduce offspring, the process — the kinds are different, but the process is the same.
22:33 the nutrient is all same. Now, in the Bible, in the New Testament, the Gospel of Mark: Jesus was walking with his disciples, and he was hungry, and just then there was a fig tree beside the road. He went to see if there were figs to pick and eat, [but there were none]. So Jesus cursed it: 'You will [bear no fruit] — you will not bear children.' He said that, and as soon as he said it, the tree withered and died.
23:27 In the New Testament, in Mark, there's a saying: Jesus Christ walked and then he was hungry, so he wanted to eat this fruit, It's fruit, but there's no fruit. Muhwagwa. What is muhwagwa? Oh, fig tree. There's a fig tree, but there's no fruit. So he cursed the tree. You're not going to have any fruit anymore. And that tree, because Jesus cursed the tree, that tree dried and died. Why did that happen? God's grace didn't come down on the fig tree. The reason is that there is no God's blessing on that fig tree. That's why there is no fruit.
24:16 With nature's grace it would surely have been conceived and set fruit, but because it didn't receive God's grace, it didn't bear. So in nature, if you have lots of blessings, there is abundance of fruit on the tree. But this tree didn't have God's blessing, that's why there is no fruit. So if you leave a tree planted in nature to its seasons, the season makes it bear fruit. In nature, if you leave the tree alone because of nature, it doesn't naturally bear fruit But people got greedy and kept giving nutrients, and so they blocked God's grace.
25:09 or what not. But they, because we are controlling the trees with all this artificial food, that's why the trees are not doing a good job. So because humans refused grace — if you match it, it has no choice but to bear fruit. But not knowing that, they just pile on fertilizer (unclear), so the fruit didn't set. So: 'Cursed, you will die.' Because we are controlling this nature, that's why it didn't work.
25:55 So there's a curse. That's why the trees die. There's no blessings. So the parable of the fig tree gives a tremendous teaching: living things in nature must receive God's grace. So the teaching in the fig tree is, you need to receive God's blessing and you will be flourished. So this tangerine here [pushed away] God's grace, and so the fruit [has no] taste (unclear). Because this fruit, they push away God's blessing, that's why that fruit didn't come out correctly.
26:53 Even without receiving God's grace, because we supplement with nutrients that have the same content as that grace, we can make something very tasty. So in natural farming, we are not like God, but we are using God's blessing and making similar this nutrient and give to the crops, that's why they come out beautifully. So you had papaya this morning too, right? So you had a papaya this morning? Was papaya ... or kind of almost? (unclear) Still, [they say] the papaya that came this morning was tasty (unclear).
27:45 But today papaya was very tasty. But that papaya is one that [name unclear] didn't fertilize. But that papaya, they didn't put the fertilizer at the bottom of the tree. And the feed it did get had no nitrogen (unclear). Even that papaya, when you taste it, there's a little lack of the, what is it, calcium phosphate... Nitrogen. The lack of nitrogen. Give lots of nitrogen fertilizer and it has no taste; give a little nitrogen and add calcium phosphate, and you make something that tastes very good.
28:32 So if you over-nitrogen, the fruit doesn't taste good. If you give very little nitrogen and then supply it with the water-soluble calcium phosphate, then the fruit taste becomes really good. But God gave mothers milk, didn't he? Because the baby gets high-quality protein from [the first milk], it grows fast when young. So when the baby is born, mother has her milk and there's a lot of protein, so baby grows very fast in the beginning. So crops too: when they are young, in their basic growth, you have to give them a little nitrogen so their bodies get big.
29:10 So even the crops, when they are baby, give extra nitrogen, then their body will grow big. So it's kind of going in a little different direction. Should you raise your own child on my milk, or on cow's milk? So when you have a baby, should we feed the baby mother's milk or cow's milk? Mother's milk. The scholars, what do they teach? They teach that babies have to be fed cow's milk to grow big.
30:02 That's what they tell people. They say raising a child on mother's milk is barbaric, and raising it on cow's milk is the civilized way. Those people tell people if you give them mother's milk, those mom is kind of barbarian. If you give them cow's milk, it's a modernized mother. Now, cow's milk: when God made cow's milk, He made it so [the calf] grows fast. Human milk is for the mother and baby to have skin contact, taking in love as it goes,
30:48 so the child grows up firm. That is why human milk is [thinner] than cow's milk. Okay, so God created cow's milk. The cow's milk may grow very fast, but the mom's milk is less... But when the baby is with mom and dad... Baby, they are touching skin closely and share lots of love. That's why they have small milk and less milk. So baby grows very hard and healthy. So strong, strong, I mean.
31:36 So, scientists, they only analyze the nutrients, but there is no love in there. In the same way, the scholars paid attention only to nutritional value; the scholars and researchers left out love. Nowadays, lots of children, they drink cow's milk, they want to eat milk. So nowadays, because children grew up on cow's milk,
32:21 So nowadays there are many children who defy their parents, and they say it is because they are children raised on cow's milk. But there are babies that mothers raise at the breast, right? Those babies, when they suck the breast, they don't suck without effort. So the babies who grow with mother's milk, when they are drinking mom's milk, they suck They suck with effort. They breathe deep, and with that the lung capacity grows.
33:12 very hard so they breathe deep, so their lungs develop deeply and strong and healthy. So you can take this as a passing remark, or listen to it properly, and also, don't take it as aimed at you. When those babies nurse, they breathe deeply, so lung capacity grows. And they don't nurse lying still; they nurse waving their hands and feet. That is exercise for the skeleton. The health for a whole lifetime is all taken in while drinking mother's milk. So healthy babies, when they are drinking mother's milk, they have a healthier lung development.
33:58 Also they keep moving, exercising their bones and the muscle, so they get much healthier. So they grow into compact, sturdy babies. That's why the baby gets very healthy and solid. But because people fuss over their looks, mothers want to keep their figure slim, so they don't eat properly, and then no milk comes. So.
34:46 So then they feed them cow's milk. Because they wanted cow's milk to sell well, the scholars advertised that cow's milk has more nutritional value and raises healthy babies. So they have to sell lots of cow milk. advertise, give their feed milk to your baby, they will grow big. So that's how scientists are doing it. Now, about a baby that grows up on cow's milk. Sucking on the mother's nipple takes effort, but sucking on a rubber nipple or a glass-bottle nipple takes no effort, right?
35:32 Because if a baby drinks mother's milk, they have to suck it very hard, but with a bottle, it's very easily come out. so they eat too much food, and so they get really big. And you hear things like this: the milk factories hold healthy-baby contests, superior-baby contests. It's the milk factories, right? There, at the milk factory, they pick the winners. So, you know, the milk factories, when they advertise their milk, Baby competition. They do baby competitions.
36:21 What is the standard of the baby competition? On what basis do they judge the 'superior baby'? What is their standard of the superior baby? Yeah, what is their... It's depending on the weight of the baby, because they wanted to sell their milk more, by encouraging to make the baby big. The basis is only the weight. If the weight comes out heavy, it's a superior baby.
37:08 In other words, if the weight is low, it fails. And the scholars then published that as a theory. So scientists share the information, when weight goes up, that's a good meal, and then the weight goes down, that's not a good meal. That's how they advertise. So if heavier means first place, that is raising piglets, not raising human children. So if you raise children like that, if you're just raising like a pig, Just only think about weight. So these days, raising your own child on cow's milk is not raising your child; it's raising a calf.
37:55 It's like when you feed your children with a cow milk, you are raising a baby cow. So there's a saying. On a warm spring day, a grandfather takes the dairy cow outside to graze, and when the grandchildren come back from kindergarten, they come running, pitter-patter. The cow thinks: ah, my children are coming home safe. So isn't the grandfather dumbfounded? They're his own grandchildren, and the cow calls them its young. Then he thinks it over: ah, they drink cow's milk, so it calls them calves. That's what was said. This is no joke.
38:40 This old man taking his cow and feed in the field. And his grandchildren run to their grandpa. And the cow think, oh, that's my babies are coming from school. Because they feed with the cow milk. There's a story. So if you don't want to have a baby cow baby, be honest with yourself. Make a pure So, all of you, if you don't want to raise calves, if you want to raise your own children, I think you should raise babies on mother's milk. baby. That is the love. That's love. Understood?
